PAMARCO GLOBAL GRAPHICS PRESSES THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT

Pamarco Global Graphics, a worldwide leader in printing press equipment, graphic imaging supplies and packaging has announced a continuation of their transportation management agreement with TOTALogistix Inc. of Sparta, New Jersey.

TOTALogistix, a third party (3PL) logistics provider has partnered with Pamarco to help manage and reduce transportation expenses since October 2001.  The continuation of this agreement reflects the on-going need to manage shipping costs to provide the best possible service and value to Pamarco’s growing list of global clients.

"The printing industry has been and will continue to be one of the most competitive industries,” said Kim Parada, CFO of Pamarco Global Graphics.  “And while many industries have welcomed a turnaround, companies within our industry continue to be challenged.  We’ve succeeded by questioning every internal system and making customer service our top priority,” said Ms Parada.   

"While many companies still consider logistics a stand-alone line expense, Pamarco has been successfully integrating the costs into their overall business strategy,” said John Mead, National Accounts Manager.  An integral part of the new agreement is the introduction of an on-line transportation management system, TOTALaccess.  “TOTALaccess provides Pamarco real-time information management, documenting shipments in transit, least cost routing and consignee activity as an example.  It also links with TOTALreport, offering up to 50 vital reports such as activity by customer, shipments by weight, as well as excess charges for shipments out-of-territory,” said Mead.
