Job Title: Account Executive
Department: Client Development
Reports To: Director of Client Development
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The key role of the Account Executive is to champion the clients' cause and interests within TOTALogistix.  You will have direct responsibility for your client, and will manage transportation and supply chain functions for all their logistics activities, including LTL, Truckload, Parcel and International.  You will be supported by specialists in each field as well as client service representatives on-hand to analyze their activity, help prepare presentations, support billing and help manage the day-to-day functions of supply chain management.  Your key role is to help reduce your client’s costs, improve efficiency and attain long-term partner status with your client.

As an Account Executive for TOTALogistix, you can contribute to the growth and profitability of our company by improving, increasing and broadening the services provided to the Client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare client profile and background portfolio.
  • Develop short and long term strategies for your clients.
  • Develop action plans to achieve established goals.
  • Ensure projects and tasks are completed within established time lines.
  • Manage all interactions between TOTALogsitx and the client.
  • Communicate client needs to TOTALogistix personnel.
  • Develop schedules for all internal and external meetings including visits, conference calls, internal meetings, etc.
  • Drive "Plus-Projects" to achieve partner status.
  • Identify and measure the value brought to the client.
  • Develop client presentations such as year-end reports and quarterly reviews.
  • Ensure client meets financial obligations including prompt payment to company, carriers and other service providers.
  • Manage all client agreement renewals.

QUALIFICATIONS/BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in logistics/supply chain management preferred.
  • Account management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
